Qatar U-20 crush Kapfenberger 7-0

Doha: Qatar U-20 team recorded a convincing 7-0 win over Austrian side Kapfenberger today in a friendly during their training camp in Slovenia.

The team is preparing for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers, scheduled from August 25 to September 6, with the finals set to be held in China in 2027. Qatar are in Group Five with Saudi Arabia, Oman and Hong Kong, with Doha hosting the matches.

The 32 teams in the qualifiers have been divided into eight groups. The eight group winners and seven best second-placed teams will join hosts China in the finals. akupunkturabielsko.pl

Doha, Qatar: Qatar Stars League clubs are entering the final phase of their preparations for the 2026-2027 season, with most teams having completed their overseas training camps.

The camps provided clubs with an opportunity to improve fitness and tactical organisation, assess new signings and give young players valuable playing time in friendly matches.

Defending champions Al Sadd completed their camp in Austria and returned to Doha, while Al Duhail are due to finish their Netherlands camp on August 10.

Al Gharafa and Al Shamal have also completed their camps, with the latter strengthening their squad with the signing of Uruguayan defender Federico Bais from Nacional.

Al Wakrah concluded their camp in France last week, while Al Arabi finished their preparations in Spain.

Al Sailiya and Al Khor also completed their overseas programmes, with Al Khor signing Gerard Hernández on loan from Al Arabi.

Qatar SC completed their camp in Spain and added Spanish midfielder Albert Ramis Luque to their squad.

Newly promoted Lusail have also completed their preparations ahead of their first top-flight season.

The club have signed North Macedonian Georgi Stoyanovski and Iranian defender Ali Nemati.

Al Shahania are completing their overseas preparations, while Al Ahli have unveiled a new identity ahead of the new campaign.

With most camps now completed, the clubs will return to Doha for their final preparations before the new season kicks off later this month.

A Cairo civil court has ordered Mohamed Salah to appear in person in September in a dispute with a former lawyer seeking unpaid fees.

The 14th Civil Circuit of the New Cairo Court of First Instance scheduled the hearing in case 7826/2025 as an evidentiary step in a civil lawsuit. It is not a criminal summons or a final ruling that Salah owes the claimant money.

The court instructed its clerks to formally notify the Egyptian forward, who was absent when the preliminary ruling was issued, and drafted an oath requiring Salah to deny that lawyer Amr Faragallah Morsi performed the legal and administrative work listed in the lawsuit.

Under Egyptian civil procedure, a “decisive oath” allows one party to ask the other to swear to disputed facts. The person concerned cannot delegate the act to a legal representative.

Taking or declining the oath “can determine the disputed issue,” according to the Lawyers Syndicate. If Salah takes the oath, the claim concerning the alleged work would be resolved in his favour. Failure to appear or refusal to swear without an accepted excuse would legally count as declining the oath and could decide the issue against him.

For the time being, the court postponed its decision on costs and litigation fees until it delivers a final judgment.

The lawsuit was filed by the lawyer on September 11, 2025, seeking payment for legal cases, administrative procedures and consultations he says he handled for Salah in 2012.

He also requested compensation for alleged “material and moral damage caused by the delayed payment.” The claim includes expenses he says he paid while carrying out the work, as well as alleged “damage to his professional standing.”

However, no value for the requested fees or damages has been publicly disclosed.

Faragallah based his claim on a general power of attorney issued by Salah through the Nasr City First Documentation Office on July 20, 2012. According to the court papers, the authorisation allowed Faragallah to handle Salah’s legal affairs.

The lawyer said it remained active until he formally withdrew on August 25, 2025. “I am establishing my right and will not speak for now,” Faragallah said.

Salah and his representatives have not yet publicly responded to the claim.
