Pogacar no descarta disputar el próximo Mundial de ciclismo tras ser intervenido con éxito en Barcelona de la fractura de clavícula

Tadej Pogacar fue operado con éxito de la clavícula izquierda este lunes por la tarde en Barcelona, unas 48 horas después de la aparatosa caída que le obligó a abandonar la Vuelta a España 2026. La estrella del ciclismo mundial tenía prácticamente asegurado el triunfo en la prueba española. Según informó el equipo UAE, “la operación salió bien” y ahora le toca permanecer hospitalizado “durante unos días” antes de poder dar comienzo a su recuperación después de esta grave dolencia.

BBC Sport is insisting it remains “fully committed to women’s football and the WSL” despite discontinuing its flagship BBC One highlights programme The Women’s Football Show for the new Women’s Super League season.

It is understood the BBC will focus on digital platforms to showcase highlights instead, including showing them on its newly launched YouTube women’s football channel, instead of the weekly television show with a studio, presenter and pundits, which had aired previously on BBC One at 11.30pm on Sundays, after first going live on BBC iPlayer at 9pm.

Nnamdi Madubuike doing "more and more," but Ravens uncertain about Week 1

Ravens defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike did not go on injured reserve while the team set its initial 53-man roster, which means that the team does not think he will miss the first four games of the season as he continues working his way back from the neck injury that kept him out for most of last year.

That doesn't mean Madubuike is going to be playing in Week 1 against the Colts, however. Madubuike did not take part in 11-on-11 work during training camp and head coach Jesse Minter declined to say at a Monday press conference if that will happen this week.

"I don't see him obviously missing that many games," Minter said, via the team's website. "I think the path that's been all along, he's progressing more and more. So we'll kind of evaluate these next couple weeks."

Minter did say that Madubuike is in "a good position" and the Ravens will continue to monitor his workload to determine when he's ready to move up to full participation in both practices and games.
