Colapinto Gets Extra F1 Bahrain Penalty

Alpine's Franco Colapinto will face an additional grid penalty at Formula 1's Bahrain GP after taking a new Mercedes V6 engine, compounding his existing five-place drop.

Colapinto was already set for a five-place grid penalty at Sepang, carried over from last weekend's punishment for causing a collision with Pierre Gasly and Lando Norris in Baku.

The Argentinian driver will now be demoted further on the grid for taking his fifth Mercedes power unit of the season, adding to his difficulties at the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix. turconews.click
