Sergio Perez has revealed that observing Max Verstappen's 'pure' leadership during their four years as Red Bull team-mates made him a faster Formula 1 driver, despite the immense toll of partnering the Dutchman.

Sergio Perez detailed the internal dynamics at Red Bull during an appearance on the High Performance podcast. The Mexican driver credited Verstappen's leadership style for his improvement on track, though he acknowledged the challenges of their partnership from 2021 to 2024.
