Cuban helps Indiana land Mendoza with NIL money

Indiana alum Mark Cuban says he provided NIL funds to help the Hoosiers land quarterback Fernando Mendoza during the 2024 season.

Cuban recalled the moment during the College Football Playoff loss to Notre Dame when athletic director Scott Dolson asked for more money. 'They needed enough,' Cuban said. 'I'm like, 'OK, we're on a roll, I'll put up the money to get this quarterback.'

Mendoza went on to win the Heisman Trophy and lead Indiana to a perfect 16-0 national championship season before being drafted No. 1 overall in 2026. This marked Cuban's first donation to Indiana athletics following the Hoosiers' historic run. piekny-pies.pl
