The Bears and Panthers made NFL history on Sunday with a 59-37 game that set the record for highest-scoring Week 1 contest.

Chicago's 59-37 road win over Carolina was the highest-scoring Week 1 game in NFL history, surpassing the previous record of 88 points set in 2018. The 96 total points were also the most for both franchises in a single game, though not the most in Bears history (they scored 73 in the 1940 championship). beltedkingfisher.blog
