Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles dismissed quarterback Baker Mayfield's public comments about his contract, saying he had no reaction and the team has moved on to focus on football.

On Thursday, Mayfield expressed dissatisfaction with the Buccaneers' contract offer. The following day, Bowles was asked for his reaction to the quarterback's public remarks. "I didn't have a reaction," Bowles told reporters. "He had a few things to say. He said it. We're all about ball today, and we moved on."

Mayfield's contract status beyond 2026 remains uncertain. With 10 potential head-coaching positions opening after the 2025 season, the NFL's year-to-year business nature is evident.
