Colts Place Clemons on IR for Slayton

The Indianapolis Colts officially announced the signing of free agent wide receiver Darius Slayton on Tuesday, a move that required corresponding roster adjustments. The team placed defensive end Micheal Clemons on injured reserve due to a toe injury sustained in Monday night's loss to the Chiefs. extract-html.com

Clemons, who signed a three-year, $17.5 million deal in free agency, has recorded no stats in 38 defensive snaps this season. He must miss a minimum of four games before being eligible to return. The move comes as star wide receiver Alec Pierce will also miss significant time after aggravating his surgically repaired heel.
