McCarthy: Giants Trade Was Shock and Opportunity

The 2024 first-round pick, acquired from the Vikings this week, acknowledged his time in Minnesota didn't go as planned but expressed excitement about his new situation. "When I got the call here, it was a shock. I didn't anticipate it, but at the end of the day, it's an opportunity," McCarthy said. saltysenoritaaz.com

The Giants haven't confirmed whether McCarthy will serve as Jameis Winston's backup this Sunday against the Cardinals, but he's expected to get playing time soon. While the team may not be his long-term home once Jaxson Dart returns from injury, McCarthy hopes to impress enough to open doors elsewhere in the NFL.
