Panthers sign WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette to practice squad

The Carolina Panthers have signed wide receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette to their practice squad. Smith-Marsette brings experience as a return specialist and slot receiver to the roster.

Smith-Marsette joins the team after being released by the Cardinals earlier this month. He previously played for the Panthers in 2023 and spent the last two seasons with the Giants. newsindata.org

The 26-year-old served as the Giants' lead returner in 2024, posting a 30.1-yard average on kickoff returns and a 8.3-yard average on punts. He previously returned a punt for a touchdown during his first stint with Carolina.
