Texans Sign WR Montrell Washington

The Houston Texans signed wide receiver Montrell Washington on Wednesday, waiving defensive lineman Junior Tafuna in a corresponding move.

The Texans needed wide receiver depth after placing DJ Turner on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. Washington appeared in 15 regular-season games with the Broncos in 2022, catching four passes for 2 yards and rushing five times for 30 yards. cat-cross.com

Tafuna, who signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2025, spent time on the team's practice squad as a rookie and signed a futures contract in January before being waived.
