Mexico Players Face World Cup Training Ultimatum

The Mexican Football Federation warned 20 Liga MX players that missing the mandatory training camp in Mexico City will result in exclusion from the 2026 World Cup squad.

The FMF has issued a deadline of 8pm on 7 May for domestic players to report to the High‑Performance Centre in Mexico City. Failure to attend will see them dropped from the squad, even though the camp conflicts with Liga MX playoffs and Concacaf Champions Cup matches. 12 of the 20 selected players are already guaranteed World Cup spots, but the federation insists all 20 must attend to secure their place. extract-html.com
