The San Francisco 49ers are exploring free‑agent running backs to replace Brian Robinson Jr., who joined the Atlanta Falcons, with options including Kareem Hunt, Raheem Mostert, Austin Ekeler, Michael Carter and Miles Sanders.

The 49ers are looking to fill the void left by Brian Robinson Jr., who signed with the Atlanta Falcons, by targeting free‑agent running backs. Options include veteran Kareem Hunt, former 49er Raheem Mostert, former Charger Austin Ekeler, Jets/Cardinals’ Michael Carter and Pro Bowl‑eligible Miles Sanders.

Hunt has 5,775 rushing yards and 55 touchdowns, Mostert 3,895 yards and 34 scores, Ekeler 4,765 yards and 43 touchdowns, Carter 1,692 yards and nine touchdowns, and Sanders 4,462 yards and 24 touchdowns, all with solid receiving numbers.
