Australia to reassess Molineux captaincy amid injury concerns

Cricket Australia admits it may need to reassess Sophie Molineux's captaincy if her injury concerns continue, despite her being fit to lead the team in the T20 World Cup.

Cricket Australia selector Shawn Flegler has conceded that the decision to appoint Sophie Molineux as captain would need to be reassessed if she continued to be troubled by serious injuries. Molineux's extensive injury history raised eyebrows when Cricket Australia unveiled her as the retiring Alyssa Healy's replacement ahead of vice-captain Tahlia McGrath and star allrounder Ash Gardner.

Meanwhile, Lucy Hamilton and Chloe Ainsworth have been added to Cricket Australia's women's contract list as the team prepares for international competitions.
