This win moves the German youngsters to the top of Group F. Meanwhile, Hiroki Ito started for Japan in their 1-0 friendly win over England at Wembley, with Kaoru Mitoma scoring the decisive goal.

In Vienna, Konrad Laimer faced off against teammate Minjae Kim in Austria's 1-0 win over South Korea. Laimer was substituted in the second half, while Jackson did not feature in Senegal's 3-1 friendly win over Gambia.
