Bello's Debut Cut Short by Robbed Strikeout

Bello, who had recorded a third out in the bottom of the fifth, was forced to continue pitching after a walk that forced him out of the game in a 9-2 loss at Daikin Park. He had three consecutive strikeouts on Astros outfielder Cam Smith, but two errors by the team meant the strikeouts were not counted, leaving him with only two official strikeouts.

Bello said the odd occurrence left him frustrated, noting he thought the first pitch was a strike and the second was a swing, but the sequence didn't play out as expected.
