Brewers To Promote Top Catching Prospect Quero

The Milwaukee Brewers have promoted top catching prospect Jeferson Quero to the major leagues just one game into the season.

Quero, 23, will make his MLB debut after missing time due to shoulder surgery. The young catcher hit .271/.361/.478 with 11 home runs in Triple-A last season.

Quero's promotion suggests injury issues for veteran backstops William Contreras or Gary Sanchez, as the Brewers look to give their top prospect immediate at-bats.
