The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched their 14th consecutive playoff berth Monday, tying the MLB record set by Atlanta from 1991-2005.

The Dodgers secured the record with a 4-1 victory over Cincinnati, powered by Tarik Skubal's seven shutout innings and home runs from Kyle Tucker and Teoscar Hernandez. Los Angeles became the third team assured of postseason play, joining Milwaukee and Tampa Bay.

Los Angeles cut their magic number to three for a fifth straight NL West title and 13th in 14 seasons. Skubal (10-7) allowed three hits, struck out nine and walked one in his second win against Cincinnati in seven days. mwafrika.life
