F1 races to be shorter next season

The FIA has announced changes to Formula 1 rules, reducing race distances to 290 kilometers and introducing a maximum two-hour time limit per race day starting next season.

The FIA approved these changes during a meeting in London, cutting race lengths from 305 kilometers to 290 kilometers. This means races will be two to three laps shorter depending on the circuit.

Additionally, the maximum three-hour race duration has been removed. Instead, a strict two-hour time limit per race day will apply, offering organizers more flexibility regarding weather delays and red flags. realschule-moosburg.de
