Arias suffered the injury Monday night and is expected to miss at least a month. Manager Stephen Vogt said Brito, batting sixth and playing second base, has been a "complete hitter" with good plate discipline.
Brito, a seventh-year pro, hit .314 in Triple-A Columbus this season and will fill in at second base while Arias is sidelined. Rocchio and Schneemann will handle shortstop duties.
