Red Bull has confirmed that 21-year-old French-Algerian driver Isack Hadjar will continue as Max Verstappen's teammate through the 2027 Formula 1 season. Hadjar, who joined the team earlier this year, has shown impressive form with six top-six finishes in his last seven races, including a podium in Monaco.
The extension comes as Hadjar sits eighth in the championship standings. Red Bull team boss Laurent Mekies praised Hadjar's performance both on and off track, noting that it was an easy decision to extend the contract given it's only been Hadjar's second season in Formula 1. Hadjar expressed his satisfaction with the team's high ambitions, stating he immediately understood the level when he joined eight months ago. milkshake.it.com
