Honda vibrations vanish, return on Aston Martin

Fernando Alonso experienced minimal vibrations from his Aston Martin's Honda F1 engine on Friday at the Japanese Grand Prix, only for them to mysteriously return unchanged on Saturday.

The vibrations have been a persistent issue for Aston Martin and Honda, damaging batteries and causing driver discomfort. Alonso noted that Friday's improvement was 80% better, describing the car as 'completely normal' with 'nearly no vibrations.' However, after no overnight changes, the extreme vibrations returned during Saturday's qualifying session.

Despite the inconsistent vibration issues, the AMR26 was slowest in qualifying, with Alonso and Stroll starting from the back row. Stroll mentioned he hasn't experienced the same level of vibrations as Alonso, whose Chinese GP was affected by physical discomfort from the vibrations.
