Huddersfield boss Manning takes compassionate leave

Huddersfield Town manager Liam Manning has been granted compassionate leave for the remainder of the season to support his family following the tragic passing of his newborn son, Theo.

Interim coaches Martin Drury and Jon Stead will take charge of the League One side in his absence. The club confirmed the decision was made after Manning informed them of ongoing personal matters related to Theo's death in October 2024.

Manning previously left Bristol City last year for similar reasons. Huddersfield expressed full support for Manning and his family, asking the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
