Iowa Working on Ben McCollum Contract Extension

Iowa Athletics Director Beth Goetz confirmed to the Des Moines Register that the university is working on a contract extension for head men's basketball coach Ben McCollum. The extension would add years and money to McCollum’s six‑year deal, which currently runs through April 30, 2031, and reflects his successful 24‑win season and Elite Eight appearance. McCollum, who turned down a North Carolina interview, is set to earn $3.6 million in his second year of the deal, with incremental raises each season.
