Itauma Stops Franklin in Fifth, Eyes Usyk

Moses Itauma knocked out Jermaine Franklin in the fifth round at Manchester's Co‑op Live Arena, marking his 12th stoppage in 14 fights.

The 21‑year‑old Briton used speed and power to dismantle the American, landing a clean uppercut that finished Franklin cold in round five. The win gives Itauma an 86% knockout rate and places him high in world‑title rankings.

Itauma said he would love to face unified champion Oleksandr Usyk, while promoter Frank Warren plans a July return. Franklin, stopped for the first time in 27 bouts, had previously only lost to Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.
