Juan Soto to undergo MRI after Mets exit with calf tightness

Mets slugger Juan Soto left Friday's game against the San Francisco Giants due to right calf tightness and will undergo an MRI.

Soto exited the game during the first inning while running from first to third base on an RBI single. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza confirmed the injury occurred during that play and stated the slugger will undergo an MRI on Saturday.

"He's going to get imaging tomorrow and we'll see what we're dealing with," Mendoza said. "There's obviously concern."
