Josh Liendo reclaimed the NCAA 100 butterfly title by re-breaking his own NCAA record with a narrow 0.05-second victory over Texas' Hubert Kos.

Josh Liendo of Florida Gators won the NCAA 100 butterfly title by re-breaking his own NCAA record in a dramatic finish against Texas' Hubert Kos. The defending champion edged Kos by just 0.05 seconds, with both swimmers breaking previous records in the process.

Liendo's victory shattered multiple records including the NCAA, team records from both Florida and Texas, the NCAA meet record, and the McAuley Aquatic Center pool record. The Florida star will next compete in the 50 freestyle while Kos shifts focus to backstroke events.
