McDavid Hits 400 Goals, 1,200 Points

Connor McDavid achieved multiple milestones in the Edmonton Oilers' 5-2 victory over the Utah Mammoth, scoring his 400th career goal and reaching 1,200 career points.

McDavid's second goal of the game, an empty-netter, put him at 401 career goals. The superstar is now just one goal shy of Hall of Famer Paul Kariya on the all-time list. Despite downplaying his goal-scoring ability, McDavid reached another impressive milestone in his 11th NHL season.

Other milestones from the game included Ryan Nugent-Hopkins recording his 800th assist and Mammoth head coach André Tourigny coaching his 400th game. The Oilers overcame an early Utah goal to improve their record against the expansion franchise.
