Former Mets stars Dwight Gooden and Endy Chavez attended the Peter Stuyvesant Little League season opener on Manhattan's East Side on Saturday. The baseball legends joined the festivities, which included a parade before the game, and shared their wisdom with young players.
'You gotta listen to your coaches. You're here to have fun number one, but you are also here to learn, focus and develop respect,' Gooden advised. The league is celebrating its 70th year of providing youth baseball opportunities in NYC.
