Rennes' Lepaul Targets Ligue 1 Top Scorer Title

Rennes forward Esteban Lepaul has set his sights on the Ligue 1 top scorer trophy, currently holding 14 goals and sitting third in the race. With seven games remaining, he aims to overtake Mason Greenwood and Joaquín Panichelli.

Lepaul, 25, has scored 14 Ligue 1 goals, placing him third behind Marseille's Mason Greenwood (15) and Strasbourg's Joaquín Panichelli (16). Panichelli is sidelined with an ACL injury, leaving Lepaul with a clear path to the Top Scorer trophy if he maintains form over the final seven matches.

The Rennes striker told RMC Sport he wants to finish as top scorer, calling it a "magnificent" achievement and noting the difficulty of scoring in Ligue 1. He added that a France call‑up is not his priority, focusing instead on meeting his season objectives after a 4‑0 win over Nice.
