Saints Sign Etienne, Wright, and More in Free Agency

The New Orleans Saints have significantly bolstered their roster during the 2026 free agency period. The team announced a series of signings, including a homecoming for Louisiana native Travis Etienne, who joins as a running back. They also secured punter Ryan Wright and tight end Noah Fant to add offensive firepower and special teams depth.

On the defensive side, the Saints re-signed defensive tackle John Ridgeway. Additionally, veteran linebacker Demario Davis has departed for the New York Jets on a lucrative deal. The Saints also added offensive guard David Edwards and restructured the contract of center Erik McCoy to create salary cap space.
