UConn sophomore Sarah Strong, a Chapel Hill native, will face her home state in the Sweet 16, aiming to eliminate UNC from the NCAA tournament.

Sarah Strong grew up just outside Chapel Hill and was a top recruit for UNC before choosing UConn. The 2026 first‑team All‑American leads the Huskies in points, rebounds, steals and blocks.

Strong will face UNC in the Sweet 16 on Friday, hoping to eliminate the Tar Heels and continue her quest for a national title.
