Tush Push Safe From Rule Changes

The NFL has released all 2026 rule change proposals, and none address the tush push, which was the subject of fierce offseason debate last year. No team has proposed a rule against it this year, and there appears to be no momentum for such a change.

A rule change requires 24 teams to vote for it, and last year's proposal to ban the tush push fell two votes short. The Eagles made the play famous and use it most effectively, though defenses were more successful stopping it in 2025.
